    Medical information: Ange

Important safety information including dosage, side effects, and precautions of Ange.

    Indications

    Contraception

・Oral contraceptives do not protect against HIV infection (AIDS) and other sexually transmitted infections (e.g., syphilis, genital herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia, genital warts, trichomoniasis, hepatitis B).

    Dosage and Administration

    Ange21

・Start taking 1 tablet daily at the same time every day from the first day of your menstrual period for 21 consecutive days, then take a 7-day break.

・Repeat this cycle each month, even if your period has not finished.

・Take the tablets in the order indicated by the arrows on the blister pack.

・Start with the brown tablets (1-6) for 6 days, followed by the white tablets (7-11) for 5 days, and then the yellow tablets (12-21) for 10 days.

・Take each tablet with a glass of water or lukewarm water.

    Ange28

・Start taking 1 tablet daily at the same time every day from the first day of your menstrual period for 28 consecutive days.

・Repeat this cycle each month, even if your period has not finished.

・Take the tablets in the order indicated by the arrows on the blister pack.

・Start with the brown tablets (1-6) for 6 days, followed by the white tablets (7-11) for 5 days, the yellow tablets (12-21) for 10 days, and then the red tablets (22-28) for 7 days.

・Take each tablet with a glass of water or lukewarm water.

    Important points

・If you start taking the pill later than the first day of your menstrual period, use an additional contraceptive method for the first week (use another contraceptive method or avoid sexual intercourse for the first 7 days).

・Smoking can increase the risk of cardiovascular side effects, especially in women over 35 years old.

Therefore, please quit smoking while taking this medication.

・If you miss 1 tablet (1 day): Take the missed tablet as soon as you remember, then continue taking the tablets at your usual time.

If you notice that you have missed a tablet and it is almost time for your next dose (e.g., if you usually take the tablet at 8:00 AM and you notice that you have missed the previous day’s tablet at 6:00 AM the next day), take 2 tablets at your usual time.

・If you miss 2 tablets (2 consecutive days): If you notice within 2 days, take 2 tablets immediately and then continue taking the tablets at your usual time.

If you miss 2 days of tablets and it is the 3rd day, there is a possibility of pregnancy, so use an additional contraceptive method until you have taken the tablets continuously for 7 days.

・If you miss 3 or more tablets (3 or more consecutive days): You need to start over from the beginning of the cycle. Discard the pack you are currently using, even if there are pills remaining, and start taking a new pack of pills when your next period begins.

◆When switching from another oral contraceptive to this product:

・If switching from a 21-tablet oral contraceptive: Finish taking all the tablets in the previous pack, take a 7-day break, and then start taking this product.

・If switching from a 28-tablet oral contraceptive: Finish taking all the tablets in the previous pack and then start taking this product.
