Important safety information including dosage, side effects, and precautions of Minwin.

    Dosage & Administration

    ・Take 1 tablet once daily at the same time each day with plenty of water.

    ・Taking it at the same time every day helps maintain consistent levels in your body for optimal effectiveness.

    ・Can be taken with or without food.

    ・Do not take an additional dose within 24 hours.

    Side Effects

    The following side effects may occur. Most are mild and decrease over time, but discontinue use and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.


    ・Decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, skin rash, depressed mood, rapid heartbeat, increased body hair growth, and changes in hair color or texture.

    Precautions

    ・If sexual side effects such as decreased libido or erectile dysfunction occur, consult a healthcare professional.

    ・Do not donate blood while taking this medication and for at least 6 months after stopping treatment.

    ・If you have heart disease (such as myocardial infarction or angina), chronic heart failure, or kidney failure, consult your doctor before use.

    ・Dizziness may occur during treatment. Use caution when driving or operating machinery.

    ・Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications, especially blood pressure medications.

    ・Increased body hair growth (hypertrichosis) may occur on areas such as the face or arms.


    Warnings for Women and Children

    ・Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant must not take this medication or handle the tablets.

    ・Contact with broken or crushed tablets may cause abnormalities in a male fetus.

    ・If a woman accidentally touches the medication, wash the area immediately with soap and water.

    ・This medication must not be used by breastfeeding women or individuals under 18 years of age.


    Who Should Not Take This Medication

    ・Women and individuals under 18 years of age

    ・Patients with hypersensitivity to any ingredient in this medication

    ・Patients with prostate cancer

    ・Patients with acute myocardial infarction, pheochromocytoma, or certain types of pulmonary hypertension 

    Approval status in Japan

    ・Minwin-F is not approved in Japan. Among its active ingredients, oral minoxidil is not approved in Japan as a treatment for AGA, however finasteride 1mg oral tablets were approved in 2005 for the treatment of AGA (androgenetic alopecia).

    ・No serious safety concerns have been reported in other countries.

    ・Finasteride (1mg) has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a treatment for AGA (androgenetic alopecia).
