Dosage & Administration
・Take 0.1 to 1.0 mg orally once a day. Depending on your doctor's prescription.
Side Effects
The following side effects may occur. While these side effects usually disappear with dose adjustment, please consult your doctor if you experience any abnormalities.
・(Serious side effect) Thrombosis
・Hypersensitivity: rash, itching, etc.
・Uterus: irregular bleeding, increased vaginal discharge
・Breast: mastalgia, breast tenderness, etc.
・Digestive: nausea, loss of appetite, etc.
・Liver: Increases in AST and ALT, etc.
・Other: dizziness, weakness, general feeling of heat, weight gain
・Vomiting
Precautions
・Consult your doctor if you are taking any other medications.
・Inform other healthcare providers about your use of this product.
・In case of emergency, such as the occurrence of serious side effects, stop taking the medication immediately and consult the nearest medical institution.
Do not use this product if you:
・Have estrogen-dependent malignancies (e.g., breast cancer, endometrial cancer) and suspected estrogen-dependent malignancies
・Have a history of breast cancer
・Have an untreated endometrial hyperplasia
・Have a thrombophlebitis, pulmonary embolism, or a history of thrombophlebitis
・Have an arterial thromboembolic disease (e.g., coronary heart disease, stroke) or a history of such disease
・Have a serious liver disorders
・Have an abnormal genital bleeding with no confirmed diagnosis
・Are pregnant women or may be pregnant
Approval status in Japan
・Estriel is not approved for insurance treatment in Japan.
*Medicines prescribed in this department are not covered by the Adverse Reactions Relief System.
Availability of approved medicines that have the same active ingredients in Japan
・There are currently no approved medications in Japan that contain the same active ingredient as Estriel 1 mg or are approved for the treatment of menopausal disorders, vaginitis (senile, pediatric, or nonspecific), cervical inflammation, or cervical erosion.

・Our affiliated clinic physicians purchase Estriel through a domestic pharmaceutical distributor.
