How to use
Inject once-a-week on the same day, into an area of the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Do not inject into a vein or muscle. Mounjaro pens are for single use only; use a new pen for each injection.
For first-time users:
Start with a dose of 2.5mg. After 4 weeks, you may request to increase it to 5mg, if needed.
For current users:
Maintenance is 5mg per injection. Administer the prescribed dose weekly, as discussed with your doctor.
When increasing dosage:
After continuing with 5mg for four weeks, the dose can be increased to 7.5mg. (The maximum dosage available with elife is 12.5mg.)

Preventing side effects

Avoid fried or greasy foods, as they can increase discomfort.

◼︎ Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
Your risk may increase if taken with insulin or other medicines that can cause low blood sugar. Be careful not to overly restrict your diet. Signs of hypoglycemia may include dizziness and lightheadedness.
It is also recommended to carry foods containing sugar or glucose, like candy, while taking the medication. If symptoms appear, consume them promptly.

Take the medicine as soon as possible, then continue with your regular scheduled dose.
◼︎If more than 4 days have passed:
Skip the missed dose and wait until your next scheduled dose. Do not administer an extra dose to make up for the missed dose.
Store Mounjaro in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C and keep it in the original carton to protect it from light.
If needed, a single-dose pen can be kept at room temperature up to 30°C for up to 21 days. Do not use if it has been frozen.
For the safe disposal of needles, we advise placing used needles in a designated disposal container and checking your local disposal regulations. The second payment and shipment will be made 8 days after the first payment date, and will be thereafter automatically convert to a monthly subscription plan. The third and subsequent payments and shipments will be made at 30-day intervals from the second payment date.
